Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga is a 5000 year old sacred technology that helps people to reach their highest potential. Of all the Yoga’s, Kundalini is regarded one of the fastest working yoga’s in bringing about change in the body, mind and spirit. There are many myths and legends regarding Kundalini Yoga and to dispel any confusion all references made here are to Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.

In quite simple terms Kundalini Yoga is a practical technology that meets you where you are and takes you where you want to go. It is very powerful and it works fast. It is a perfect form of yoga for beginners yoga right through to the super advanced and well practiced yogi’s and yogini’s. This form of yoga is a great match for our current times, as the world moves faster we need to feel whole again – faster. With our busy schedules we want a practice that gives us direct experience of an elevated consciousness – Kundalini Yoga will do just that.

HISTORY of KUNDALINI YOGA

The teachings of Kundalini Yoga were, for thousands of years, kept secret and very carefully guarded passed down orally from Master to disciple. In those ancient times chosen disciples spent many years proving their purity, integrity and trustworthiness before receiving the knowledge of this very sacred science of Kundalini Yoga. Once a disciple demonstrated humility, self-discipline and obedience the Master would reveal secret ‘kriyas’ – yoga sets in completed action.

These teachings were kept secret due to the real power it unfolds within an individual and with power comes the possibility to corrupt. After many years of learning, mastering and perfecting the practice of Kundalini Yoga, Yogi Bhajan challenged this age-old tradition of secrecy and in 1969 Yogi Bhajan for the first time taught Kudalini Yoga publicly. He did this out of his compassion and an honest desire to have all discover the inner beauty, power and immense potential that lies within us.

Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini Yoga, brought a legacy of technical and spiritual knowledge and offered to share these ancient secrets to everyone.

WHO IS KUNDALINI YOGA FOR ?

Kundalini Yoga is for everyone regardless of age or physical ability. Kundalini Yoga will work on any level. It is the perfect yoga for beginners to advanced yogi’s : for householders, entrepreneurs, athletes, mothers, business owners, people who have everyday stresses and challenges,People with a desire to elevate their consciousness and excel in life – people like you and me. You don’t have to be super flexible or fit, have any particular beliefs, or radically change your life. A KUNDALINI YOGA PRACTICE

A Kundalini yoga practice is a beautiful blend of dynamic movement, meditation, breath, mantra and much much more. Ask anyone that has practiced a Kundalini Yoga class with an experienced teacher and they will say that it is a real journey.

Kundalini incorporates all eight limbs of Yoga. The exquisite part is there are literally thousands of different Yoga sets(Kriyas), meditations and breath series. Kundalini Yoga includes -
